Background

Ryan has more than 18 years of experience serving the financial reporting and accounting needs of the Southeast. Prior to joining Argon, Ryan was a senior manager with Ernst & Young where he served several of the firm’s key audit clients in Atlanta.

Professional and industry experience

Ryan has significant experience serving US SEC registrants with multi-location, domestic and international operations as well as smaller, private companies.

Ryan is a subject matter expert on various accounting matters including revenue recognition, leases, share-based payments, debt and equity instruments, and business combinations. He is well-versed in the requirements of section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as well as various SEC reporting regulations.  Ryan also assists the firm’s clients who report under IFRS.

At Ernst & Young, Ryan served as a member of the firm’s Southeast Revenue Recognition Expert Network where he played an active role in understanding the requirements of the FASB’s new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606). He led multiple trainings on the new standard and led the efforts to assist two of his audit clients as they began their process of implementing ASC 606.

Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
